B.Tech. Admissions (2024-25)
Admissions to the four-year B.Tech. Program in all the branches (Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechatronics and Automation Engineering and Mathematics and Computing) of the Institute is based on merit assessed through transparent and reasonable criteria followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2024) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB 2024) which have been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate admission process of the Institute. Admission into all the four-year B.Tech. Programs offered by the Institutes is processed through JoSAA 2024 (https://josaa.nic.in/) and CSAB 2024 (https://csab.nic.in/) by their respective online portals. The candidates are advised to carefully go through the Business Rules and Process Flow of the JoSAA 2024 and CSAB-Special rounds available on their respective websites.

- Candidates shall be offered admission based on their All India Ranks in JEE Main. To get admission in IIIT Bhagalpur, score a good rank in JEE Main and apply through JoSAA and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
- Candidates will be able to make their choices online for Institute selection. Select IIIT Bhagalpur (Institute Code: 322) as the preferred institute from the list of Institutes provided.
- This is followed by the online seat allocation process by JoSAA and CSAB. Documents verification will be done in the online mode by the Verification Center (NIT Delhi) .Candidates are required to upload the appropriate documents and respond timely to queries (if any) put forward by the Verification Center (NIT Delhi) Officials.
- After this, report physically at IIIT Bhagalpur as per the schedule mentioned on the Institute website. Hostel allotment is a part of the of the admission modalities / formalities.
Once the seat is allotted to the candidate issuing a “Provisional Seat Allotment letter” by the competent authority of the JoSAA 2024 and /or CSAB Special Rounds 2024 the candidates are instructed to report the Institute to complete the admission process . Provisional acceptance means that the candidate has accepted the offer, but the final acceptance is contingent on successful verification of certificates by, and on joining, the provisionally allotted institute and payment of the balance Institute fee.

During physical reporting presence of the guardian is not mandatory. Guardian/Person accompanying the candidate will have to arrange their own accommodation (easily available nearby).
